Art is a subject in which our children learn to explore and experiment in different mediums, drawing inspiration from a range of artists and our overarching topics.
Throughout our children’s time at Dale, sketchbooks are an integral part of their creative journey. This is where the children research and develop ideas, master techniques, hone skills and respond individually to a range of stimuli.
We endeavour for their process and outcome to be an individual one, having been introduced to a broad range of techniques, materials and artists, craftspeople and designers, which engage, inspire and challenge our children.

Our curriculum focuses on the development of knowledge and skills through engaging and meaningful opportunities in painting, printing, sculpture, drawing and collage.
At Dale we want our children to have opportunities and experiences that ignite their love for creativity. We want them to foster a positive, life-long relationship with the subject, knowing that there is an artist inside all of them.
