Pets at Home Visit...

... Year Two had a special visit from the Staff at 'Meteor Centre Pets at Home'.  They brought with them a happy hamster, georgeous guinea pigs and a beautiful black bunny!  The children had a fantastic time learning all about how to care for animals.  They learnt about what a big responsibility having a pet is!  We are grateful to the staff from Pets at Home for taking the time to give us such a wonderful experience.

We raised a whopping £575 at our Christmas Fair!

The amazing 'Winter Wonderland' set the scene for so many people to come along and join in with the fun and festivities: There was so much to see and do with visits to Santa, games, stalls, samosas, cakes and pizzas, face painting, henna and special performances! People were also met by the unusual sight of Mr Iqbal serving delicious food in the kitchen! Well done to all those who helped put on a great event and thank you Mr Wood and colleagues for building the Winter Wonderland and the Grotto for Santa.  Thank you all to those who attended, we hope you all had a great time!

Year 3 Church Visit

Year 3 were very lucky to be invited to St.Augustine's Church to take part in a 'Christmas Experience'.  We listened to the Christmas story and talked about the meaning of Christmas.  We then went on a journey around the church to learn about the journey of Mary and Joseph, the importance of candles at Christmas and the value of giving to our friends and families.  We all had a really lovely time and look forward to going back there later this year.

Year 3 Minotaur Invasion

MINOTAUR WRECKS CLASSROOM! Miss Dee and her class had a dreadful experience on Monday 11th November, on arriving at school they discovered the class had had to be taped off following an invasion by a Greek Minotaur. The beast - half man half bull entered the school building during the early hours of Tuesday morning and when discovered by Mr Wood proceeded to wreck the classroom in its haste to escape. Brave Mr Wood, who was injured during his heroic attempts to stop the Minotaur, had to go to hospital to have his injuries tended to. Year 3 had a very exciting morning collecting evidence, interviewing eye witnesses and putting together a newspaper report of the events, which resulted in some excellent pieces of writing using their learning from literacy to support them. The classroom has now been fully restored, Mr Woods injuries are now healed and police have assured year 3 that the Minotaur will never return to the school.....
